The Cornish fishermen singers in
Port Isaac called the
Fisherman's Friends have sung in and around the
village of Port Isaac for over 15 years. Traditional tunes and folk
songs are their style. The group are are linked by the
sea being, or having been, fishermen, lifeboat men or
coastguards.
They perform weekly on a
Friday night during the summer months near the harbour
front in Port Isaac Cornwall. See
location of Port Isaac

Restaurant in Port Isaac. If you drive to Port Isaac
you will most likely park in the council car park close to
the cliff tops and
The Edge restaurant.
Parking is at a premium in Port Isaac with its narrow
streets along with houses built
long before cars needed anywhere to park.
The
Cornish Fisherman's Friends have netted a £1 million
record deal with Universal Music to produce an
album. They will be alongside other recording artists at
Universal Music such as Lady Gaga and Take That.
Although Port Isaac is their normal
venue, the Fisherman's Friends have performed their sea
shanties all over the UK including the Royal Albert
Hall. And will be at Glastonbury this year.
The new album from Fishermans Friends will be release in late
April. It was recorded in the 15th century church in
nearby St Kew, just a few miles from Port Isaac in
Cornwall.
