Travelling to The Edge in Port Isaac

Port Isaac is one of the most remote villages in Cornwall and the UK. But it is still very easy to find. Just 10 minutes drive from Wadebridge or 20 minutes drive from Bodmin and the A30.

From the North. Take the A30 from Exeter. One mile past Launceston exit for North Cornwall, Camelford and Wadebridge. Then follow the signs for the centre of Port Isaac and find The Edge restaurant next to the car park on the cliffs.

From Wadebridge. Take the B3314 towards Rock/ Deabole. After 5 miles turn left towards Port Isaac and follow the road down to the village car park. The Edge Restaurant is next to the car park at the top of the cliffs.

From Camelford. Take the B3266 towards Delabole and Tintagel. Drive 1 mile then turn left onto the B3314. Drive through Delabole and turn right for Port Isaac. Then find us at The Edge restaurant next to the car park on the cliffs.

The Edge restaurant in Port Isaac is next to the South West Coastal footpath, making it an ideal stop when walking Cornwall. With the Cornwall coastal footpath running beside The Edge, many walkers pass through Port Isaac from Tintagel, King Arthur Country to the North or Padstow to the South, from short strolls to long hikes. The footpath extends all around the coast of Cornwall, approx 258 miles. The Edge is an ideal stopping point for walkers in Cornwall.

Port Isaac is home of Fishermans Friends sea shanty singers. To the West is Port Quinn.  And the location of Doc Martin is Port Isaac called Portwenn or Port Wenn in the TV series.
